About Jacob
Jacob has called Boone home since 2022 and is a native of Raleigh, NC. His love for music began at an early age in the church, and quickly grew to involvement in local bands and theatres.
A 2026 graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Industry Studies and a certificate in trumpet performance, Jacob has professional experience performing on vocals, trumpet, guitar, and piano. He is passionate about helping students discover their own love for music. Developing confidence, skill, and creativity through personalized instruction is the top priority.
Jacob believes music education should first foster a love for the art and personal growth, and that every student must have a tailored plan to grow toward their individual goals.
Outside of teaching, Jacob is the music coordinator at Crosspoint Community Church in Boone. In his free time, he enjoys beekeeping, running, pickleball, and cooking.
